Unreadable Zip Files

ZipStorer is great!  Good work  . . . and thank you Sir.

I've run across a problem with certain zip files which hang ZipStorer on ExtractFile.  In one sense the zips are "good" in that they are readable with Windows 7 Explorer and Zipeg.  It looks like the central directory info is incorrect . . . the individual content file sizes are the same as the whole zip file.  I've asked what program is used to zip the files but have received no answer (and don't expect one . . . it's a government agency). A workaround is copying out (using Explorer) the zip contents to a directory, deleting the zip contents, and then copying the files back into the zip from the directory.  Anything you might suggest?

Thanks again

Hi Mike,

Maybe the correct length is stored in the Local Directory, but I am not reading it. So, you can modify the library to read it (some restrictions apply, because it is not always filled in the same way, as explained in the PKZIP documentation).
