Compressing Files

Hi Jaime,

I note your latest release stats 'Now ZipStorer can compress' but do you mean it can now decompress (i.e. deflate)?

I am looking for a way to compress files without deploying external DLLs with my application. The name of this project suggests is your intent to store files only, and I can't seem to find any way to do anything other than store files in a zip structure.

Am i right that you cannot compress files with your code?

Hi Craig,

Yes! it can both compress and decompress zip files, but it just supports Deflate method (the one used by Windows Shell) and Store method (no compression at all). So I think this library does exactly suit your needs.

Originally (version 1), the library didn't compress or decompress, but this new version does. You just need to attach the source code (ZipStorer.cs) into your project. No external DLL is generated or required.

If you find this library useful, please vote for it.
